Hi there,
Thank you for coming and having a look at my Amazon book recommendations. As you see there aren't any and you deserve an explanation. I no longer want my website to be 'commercial' (the exception being if you want to book me for a lecture). I have come to the conclusion that we all spend far too much on stuff we don't really need. It seems we are constantly being encouraged to spend our money to help make the economy grow - but long term this will be unsustainable.
Most of my life is spent commuting, this enables me to earn more money so that I can buy more stuff and the more stuff I buy the more I'll have to keep working. As an atheist I obviously have no expectation of one day enjoying an afterlife so I don't see why I or anyone else should waste our lives just to accumulate more pointless toys. There are better things in life than getting the latest gadget.
In the meantime here are some non-skeptic books you might enjoy reading but don't buy them. Go to your local library and order them there.
Bonfire Of The Brands: How I Learnt to Live Without Labels by Neil Boorman. ISBN-10: 1847670873
How to Be Free by Tom Hodgkinson. ISBN-10: 0141022027
How to Be Idle by Tom Hodgkinson. ISBN-10: 0141015063
Shopped: The Shocking Power of British Supermarkets by Joanna Blythman. ISBN-10: 0007158041
I'll post a few more suggestions when I have time. As for skeptic related books buy anything written by James Randi.
Back soon.
